This privacy policy explains how Jamas AS collects and processes personal data.

Jamas AS, represented by its general manager, is responsible for the company's processing of personal data. The data controller has the ultimate responsibility for ensuring that all processing and handling of personal data complies with applicable legislation. Where daily responsibility is delegated, this is stated under each point in this declaration. Delegation only covers tasks, not responsibility.

Jamas AS has its own data protection officer. The data protection officer's tasks are to provide employees with information and advice on data protection legislation, monitor compliance with the GDPR and internal guidelines, advise on data protection impact assessments, and act as a point of contact for data subjects and the supervisory authority.

This declaration contains information about your rights regarding the storage of personal data through a customer relationship with Jamas AS, and general information about how we process personal data in accordance with applicable data protection legislation.

1. Personal Data

To complete a purchase on Jamas.no, we need your name, address, mobile number, and email. This is necessary to send your order to the correct delivery address, keep you updated on order movements, and contact you if needed regarding your orders.

We are required to retain order information for accounting, tax handling, and any warranty/return handling purposes. This history is deleted after ten years. We also store the IP address used for ordering for security reasons.

For various purposes, we may need other personal data. Which personal data and their purposes are described here in the privacy policy.

If you contact us via email, your email inquiry and contact information will be stored with us; if you contact us by phone, your phone number will be stored with us. This information is necessary to handle your inquiry and to contact you if follow-up is needed.

1.1 Your Rights

You have the right to access your personal data registered by Jamas AS in accordance with applicable legislation. You can at any time request to receive this information free of charge in accordance with the legislation.

You can also, at any time, ask us to delete or correct your personal data, provided that we are not obliged to retain it in accordance with applicable legislation or other obligations we may have.

Information must be disclosed/transferred securely. If the data subject submits the request electronically, and unless the data subject requests otherwise, the information shall be provided in a common electronic format.

You can withdraw your consent at any time. You can find your consents on my page.

You have the right to complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority if you believe that your personal data is not being processed in accordance with this declaration.

1.2 Archiving of Personal Data

The Accounting Act requires us to store transaction data for 5 years, but to safeguard customer rights regarding warranty and claims in accordance with the Consumer Purchases Act, the Sales of Goods Act, and Jamas AS's terms of sale, we store purchase history for 10 years.

1.3 Securing Personal Data

Jamas AS has routines in place to ensure that unauthorized parties do not gain access to your personal data and that data processing complies with the requirements of applicable legislation. Examples of such routines include access management and routines for handling data and processing requests regarding the right to access, rectification, and deletion. You can be assured that Jamas AS stores your personal data securely.

2. Delivery of Goods

We collaborate with Posten for the transport of goods. We provide personal data necessary for them to deliver the goods to you. The information shared with carriers includes name, address, phone number, and desired delivery location. The information is deleted within 36 months.

3. Payment Solutions

For security reasons, we store a history containing the IP address from which we receive orders. Payment information on Jamas.no includes: IP address, name, address, email, and mobile phone number.

All systems processing personal data related to order payments are strictly limited to employees performing necessary tasks related to the order.

Our payment processes are handled by Bambora, which is a Nordic merger of several payment companies. Bambora is one of the largest payment solution companies in Scandinavia, annually handling over three billion transactions, 50% of which occur online.

Bambora handles the entire payment process, and they are also the entity to whom you provide your details. We never know your full credit card number or other sensitive details used to complete a transaction in the online store.

For purchases where you provide your information directly to us, we forward the information directly to Bambora and then delete it immediately. In addition, we are bound by strict confidentiality and guarantee that your information will not be misused. All information processed through Bambora is PCI-certified and adheres to security standards both nationally and internationally. Furthermore, we also use 3D Secure as standard, significantly minimizing the risk of fraud.

4. Cookies

Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device when you download a website. These are typically used to improve your user experience and remember who you are, so you remain logged in.

The purpose of cookies is to provide the online store with basic functionalities such as session management, analysis, personalization, and marketing.

First-party cookies are necessary for the website to function.
Third-party cookies are used for analytics, marketing, and personalization of the website.

4.1 How to avoid cookies

If you wish to avoid the use of cookies, you can set your browser not to accept them. See your browser's help pages for settings. Please be aware that if you choose to exclude cookies, several functions on Jamas.no will not work.

4.2 Analysis

Jamas AS collects anonymized data about visitors to Jamas.no for analysis. By anonymized data, we mean data that cannot be traced back to a user or an individual. The purpose of this is to collect statistics that can be used to further develop and improve the website. Examples of this type of data include: the number of visitors to the page, how the page is used, the duration of the visit, where users come from, and which browsers are used.

We also collect keywords used via the search engines on the website. This is solely to improve search results and customer experience, and no information that can be traced back to the user is collected.

4.3 Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to identify unique users, remember the number and timing of previous visits, find out where users come from, and determine the start and end of a visit.

5. Personal Data to Third Parties

Jamas AS will not share, sell, transfer, or otherwise disclose your personal data in ways other than those described in this privacy policy. Your data will only be shared if we are legally obligated or have your consent. Partners will only gain access to information if it is necessary to perform services for Jamas AS. In such cases, data processing agreements are entered into to safeguard information security, and Jamas AS will determine how the processing of information shall proceed.

If we make changes to this privacy policy, we will post the revised version here with an updated revision date. We encourage you to review the policy regularly.
